I'm Yonathan Peled, a pianist, trombonist, composer, and music educator. I teach children and adults in Park Slope, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Carroll Gardens, and nearby Brooklyn neighborhoods. Every lesson begins with the music that matters to the student.
Strong technique and musicianship are important. So are curiosity, enjoyment, and discovering the kind of music you love to play.

Build a beautiful sound, confident technique, rhythm, musical understanding, and expressive playing. Beginners and continuing players are welcome.
Some students want to play Mozart; others want to improvise, write their own songs, or learn a favorite tune. I believe lessons work best when the student feels heard, encouraged, and challenged at the right pace.
We build technique, reading, rhythm, and theory through music that feels meaningful—not simply through exercises on a page.
